Nice customer service. Also has foods I can't find anywhere else. Located in the heart of Uptown New Orleans.

Old-school butcher with great people including kind customers when I went! Supporting a great, local establishment left me feeling even better after I ate and recommend for produce by a trusted, local source ( thanks Mrs. Rose! ) with local Laundromat near by ( Too kill two birds with one stone! ). I try to go every Tuesday!!

That's some cheap yard bird.....lol...located in the hood but some of the best places are...the name says it all...the owner---and workers are awesome...

I know the locals in the area are glad to have this chicken mart in place. Been here for years, this facility services the community at large with it's food items: meats, veggies, pastas, cookies, candies, muffins etc. This facility is a mini-mart of sorts where you can get fresh cut meats & locally grown fruits (hello mr man with the lemon tree in his backyard). This is an awesome way to give back to the community, also while making a profit. I know plenty of people who frequent this mini-mart & it's definitely a plus for them. Spacing inside is a little tight, as there's lots going on. But they do fine with maximizing the area & space. To be noted & my only 1 complaint: the meat smell/odor when you first walk in. But I guess that's to be expected correct? Most meat markets that have fresh cut meats experience this; so it's pretty much par for the course. Friendly, helpful staff. Ample parking.

This place is located deep in central city. That's right folks this little butcher shop is right in the middle of the hood. First things first, this place is one of the cheapest places in the city to buy uncooked chicken. You can buy chicken in bulk often times cheaper that what you would pay at the grocery store. Besides chicken they sell turkey necks real cheap, pork chops and several other meat options as well. However when I go in I usually stick with chicken or Turkey necks. Aside from the meat there are other things in this store that might catch someones eye. They sell candy, cold drinks and other grocery items here too. The clerks at this store were nice. But I suppose its the fact that I bought some of their stuff. Just call it a hunch I guess. In short this old school butcher shop is good for carnivores, omnivores, or the bad ass vegetarian who decided to break their diet one day. Disclaimer: Just a word of warning, this store is located in a rather sketchy area of town.
